Fall 2015 Must-Haves

Fall is HERE!  It may not feel like it in some parts of the US (Texas, I’m talking to you), but that hasn’t stopped me from breaking out some of my favorite fall items.  I am all about fall florals and fringe this year.  And can we talk about this fall’s “it” color Marsala?  So gorgeous!  Here are some of my recent finds that I think are perfect for the fall transition. I’ve included a few Marsala pieces that I absolutely love (some adorable flats and a to-die-for clutch).  Come shop with me!

Black Romper

Fall is finally here, but it is still a little on the hot side here in Texas.  I thought I would take this cute romper out for one last “romp” while I still can.  I am absolutely loving my new lace up flats!  I can’t think of a better shoe to transition into fall with.  I have been wearing them with everything!

Do you guys have that one summer outfit or trend that you aren’t ready to let go of just yet?  Let me know in the comments below!

Foxy Button-Up

Summer is slowly coming to an end, and we are finally starting to cool down a bit here in Texas.  Last night was perfect for my favorite jeans and this sweet little button-up (I mean, you just can’t go wrong with tiny foxes).  My new Sorial clutch went perfectly with this outfit!
I am so ready for it to be cool enough for jackets and boots!  How are you transitioning into fall?

Summer 2015 Favorites

As the summer comes to an end, I have been looking back on some of my favorite/most used beauty products of the season.  Before I get into all that goodness, I wanted to just share a few things with anyone and everyone that may be reading this.  This summer was super busy for me for a couple of reasons.  Firstly, my job was crazy with all sorts of events and preparation for the upcoming fall semester.  Secondly, I took the plunge and started a blog. (Yay!)  Even though stress has been high, I feel like this summer was a turning point in my career and my life in general.  I have finally found my passion in blogging, and I am thankful for those of you that have taken the time to read, like, and comment on my blog posts and Instagram pics.  I enjoy sharing my love of all things fashion and beauty with you guys, and I love hearing what you have to say as well!  I have no idea where this blog will take me in the future, but I do know that if I can dream it, I can do it.  I can honestly say I’ve never had a clue what I wanted to do with my life until now.  That is super exciting!  So again, thank you for being a part of this little adventure (…or should I say, blogventure?  Yeah, I think that should be a word).
So anyway, back to beauty!  I have really had fun with make up this summer, and was able to add some great products to my ever-expanding collection (maybe a few too many, but hey, you only live once).  These are some of my favorites:

St. Tropez Self Tanner – I stopped going to tanning beds years ago, and I really don’t like sunbathing, so I went searching for a good self tanner that wouldn’t turn me orange.  This is definitely the one!  It’s so easy to apply, and I have had nothing but great experiences with it.  I don’t use it super often, just every once in a while to give my skin a little color.  Otherwise, I have been fully embracing my paleness this summer!

Essie Nail Polish – Marshmallow – This nail polish has been number one in my rotation the past few months.  It’s just so easy and goes with everything!

NYX HD Blush – Electro – I love everything about this blush!  I usually don’t reach for super pink blushes, but this one has been on repeat all summer.  It’s just such a happy color, and is absolutely perfect when used in moderation.

Loreal Nail Polish – Crazy for Chic – This is another favorite nail polish that I’ve been mainly wearing on my toes this summer.  I do wear color on my finger nails, but I am more apt to go a little brighter and crazier on my toes.

NYX Contour Pro Palette – I have to admit, when contouring became a trend I was super intimidated and didn’t even know where to begin.  This palette was a great affordable option for someone like me that didn’t know if I would even like it and/or use it often.  I don’t use it every single day, but I do love it!  The colors are beautiful and blend really well. I definitely don’t contour like Kim K.  My style is a bit more subtle, and this palette is perfect for that!

Benefit Benebalm – Most days, I really don’t want to fuss with lip stick.  Usually I just stick to a neutral lip balm, but sometimes I want a bit of color. Benebalm is perfect because it goes on just like a lip balm but has a pretty pinkish-red tint.

City Lips Plumper – I haven’t owned very many lip plumpers in my life, but I received this one in a Glossybox and fell in love!  I don’t know if it really works or if it’s just in my head, but it feels like it works and my lips do appear plumper when I use it.

Too Faced Sun Bunny Bronzer – I’ve been using this bronzer for a while, and it continues to be in my favorites. It gives me the perfect glow without that overly bronzed look that I am not a fan of.

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara – I have used the heck out of this the past few months.  The formula is great, the brush is great, and it is pretty far up there on my favorite mascaras list (Benefit They’re Real is still my holy grail).

Givenchy Ange ou Demon Perfume – This perfume has everything I love. It has a great floral scent but it’s sophisticated at the same time. I think it will transition nicely into the fall.

Nivea Lip Balm – Kiss of Olive Oil and Lemon – This is one item I do not leave the house without.  Don’t let the name fool you – it has more of a honeysuckle scent/flavor.  It is awesome and you definitely need it.  Trust me.

Let me know what your summer favorites were!

Pineapple Paradise

Summer may be on its way out, but I am still obsessed with anything and everything pineapple! I’ve rounded up some of my favorite pineapple-y items below.  What was your favorite trend this summer?

Cream and Denim

Some days, I just want an easy outfit that I can throw on and still look put together.  You really can’t go wrong with basics, and it’s fun to add interesting accessories to make your basics not so basic (are you feelin’ me?).  This cream top is one of my favorites because it’s understated yet still has some interesting detail down the front and on the sleeves (mine is old – similar option here). I’ve paired it with dark denim jeggings because I love the contrast (similar option here).  My Henri Bendel necklace goes perfectly with this outfit, and my Kate Spade bag adds a soft pop of color.

Fancy Flats

This year has been all about the statement flat, which is super exciting for me because
I would take flats over heels any day!  Heels are great for about an hour, and then
my legs are over it.  I hate the assumption that you have to wear heels to dress up an outfit.
Not the case at all!  These flats are some of my favorites right now, and several are under $50.
