All The Sparkles – NYE 2017

It’s so hard to believe that 2016 is almost over! New Year’s Eve is just around the corner, and it’s the perfect night to bring out your shiniest and sparkliest pieces to ring in the new year. I have always loved staying up late and celebrating on New Year’s Eve. As a little girl, I remember spending the night with my Grandma and making my own confetti to throw when the ball dropped at midnight. There is just something so special about celebrating the new year and a clean start, while also taking time to remember the past year and everything it brought (both good and bad). As much as I have loved this past year, I am so looking forward to 2017!

I have rounded up some of my favorite items that are perfect for NYE (and every other day of the year, if I do say so myself). What plans do you have for New Year’s Eve? Going out? Staying in? Traveling to NYC to be part of all the craziness in Times Square (definitely on my bucket list!). Let me know in the comments below!

Easy Holiday Party Hair

‘Tis the season for Christmas parties and New Year’s Eve soirees. I always look forward to choosing my outfits for these holiday celebrations, but when it comes to my hair I never know what to do with it. Like my clothes, my hair styles tend to be very classic and somewhat simple. With all the stress that inevitably comes with the holiday season, the last thing I want to fuss with is my hair. Today I am sharing my go-to party hair style that is super easy, always looks elegant no matter the occasion, and only takes a few minutes!

Step 1: Start with clean, dry hair. I used Aussie Moist Shampoo and Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Conditioner for deep conditioning.
Step 2: Part hair pretty deep on one side (whichever side you are most comfortable with).
Step 3: Use a 1.5 inch curling wand or curling iron to curl your entire head of hair creating loose, romantic waves.
Step 4: Section off the front of your hair (the same side your part is on) and use a bit of Aussie Instant Freeze Sculpting Hair Gel as you begin twisting this entire section of hair. This will help tame frizz and keep flyaways at bay.
Step 5: Continue twisting, gathering up a bit more hair as you work your way down.
Step 6: Twist, twist, twist. Then, twist some more.
Step 7: Once you have the entire section twisted, bring it around back and secure underneath near your neck line. I sometimes use bobby pins for this, but I also like to use a small clip/claw for a more secure hold.
Step 8: Let the rest of your hair fall down over the clip and smooth it down as you move it all over your shoulder to one side.
Step 9: Throw on your favorite pair of statement earrings and head out the door! This hair style will not only show off your jewels, but also the details on the back of your dress.
This simple, elegant look is so easy to recreate and works for any occasion. To keep your hair looking great and perfectly in place as you party the night away, be sure to use all my favorite Aussie hair products. You can find Aussie’s 3 Minute Miracle Strong Conditioning Treatment, Instant Freeze Sculpting Hair Gel, Moist Shampoo and Conditioner, and many more products on Amazon! Having your hair products shipped to your home is a huge time-saver.
Thank you to Aussie for sponsoring this post.

Holiday Wrapping

Wrapping gifts is one of my absolute favorite parts of the holidays (and maybe even life…not kidding). When I was a little girl, I remember BEGGING my mom to let me wrap my own gifts. She would cover them just enough so that I couldn’t see what each gift was, and then she would let me do the wrapping. I loved it so much, maybe even more than the actual gifts I got! To this day, I get so excited when it’s time to pick out my wrapping paper and ribbon for the Christmas season.

This year, I found the cutest wrapping paper and ribbon online at Design Design. Our Christmas cards have a Twelve Days of Christmas theme, so when I saw this Twelve Days of Christmas wrapping paper I knew I had to have it! It is super unique, but still very traditional. It almost has a vintage feel to it. I also love this Joy Noel Cheers Peace gift wrap. It’s just so simple and beautiful, and absolutely gorgeous paired with this gold flecks tissue paper. I prefer ribbon over the typical stick-on bows, so I picked up this red saddle stich ribbon to tie it all together (literally).
Design Design is also having a major sale right now! All of their Christmas gift wrap is 50% off this weekend only (through Dec. 11th). Hurry over there now to take advantage of the savings, and you may even want to stock up for next year!
GIVEAWAY ALERT! I have teamed up with Design Design on a super exciting giveaway. One lucky Instagram follower will get 5 rolls of gift wrap of their choosing, just in time for the holidays! Head on over to my Instagram for all the details.
Thank you to Design Design for the lovely gift wrap, and for sponsoring this amazing giveaway.
