The $16 Sweater You Need

$16 Cream Sweater You Need

I am finally jumping on the cutout sweater trend! I have always liked the look but never found one that I just had to have. When I saw this v-neck sweater I immediately added to cart, and that was back when it was full price. Even then it was a steal at $40, but it has since been marked down to $16! If only it came in more colors I would have a closet full of them by now. I LOVE it with a simple pair of black leggings and my favorite over the knee suede boots that you have probably seen a million times by now (last seen here). By the way, these boots are also on major sale at 41% off, so I just snagged the black pair I’ve been wanting. So many good sales right now, I can’t even handle it!

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen my Insta Story about this amazing bag. I went to a holiday dinner hosted by Amanda Miller (The Miller Affect) at the Shops at Clearfork, and I won this Tory Burch beauty! We all drew numbers for a surprise gift, and let me tell you, I totally lucked out. Pretty sure I got the best gift of the night! Seriously, how perfect is it? I am OBSESSED. It has a convertible strap, so you can wear it as a shoulder bag or a crossbody, depending on your mood. It comes in a smaller version, too!

Shades of Blush

Shades Of Blush Kimono Dress

Can you really ever get enough blush? I don’t think so! This past weekend, I stepped out in this head-to-toe nude/blush pink ensemble that made me feel so elegant and feminine. I love a monochromatic look, especially if the individual pieces have interesting details that make them stand out. This blush kimono dress has a deep plunge neckline and the most beautiful twist knot accent that really elevates the entire look. I love that the front slit mirrors the neckline. It creates the most gorgeous silhouette! This is definitely a dress that would work for any occasion. Holiday party? Check. Wedding? Check. Date night? Check. If the neckline is a bit too extreme for you, just add something underneath like this lace cami. Side note – you may want to consider sizing up. I am usually a size 4, and the 6 fits me perfectly.

I recently found this adorable Zac Posen crossbody bag for over 50% off the original price, so of course I had to snatch it up. It’s not every day you can get a Zac Posen bag for under $150 (and there are still some in stock)! I love anything with a bow detail, and this little bag is great for carrying your essentials. It’s the perfect addition to a dressy outfit like this, but it also works with a casual t-shirt and jeans. It’s one of those bags that people will definitely comment on because it’s eye-catching and unique. I’m a firm believer that you don’t need bright and bold colors to make an outfit stand out. I will take bold details over bold colors any day!

Blush Swing Coat

Blush Swing Coat Black Floral Dress

Temps are slowly dropping here in Dallas, and although I don’t wear coats that often (even in the winter) I couldn’t pass up this gorgeous blush swing coat. It gives me all sorts of Parisian vibes, and needless to say I am obsessed! The flared skirt is so classy and feminine. It makes me want to spin around like a weirdo, but I have refrained (for now). I love pairing it with these over-the-knee boots that I got last year. You guys – if you are in the market for some super comfy yet dressy over-the-knee boots, these are by far my fave. They come in taupe and black, and they are 100% worth the price! I am most likely getting the black ones soon.

Because the weather in Texas is so up and down right now, this floral mini dress is perfect for warmer days (and it’s only $40). Seriously, the day can start out freezing and then be burning up in the afternoon. I am always hesitant to wear short dresses this time of year, but when I do wear one I usually pair it with some warm over-the-knee boots. It basically feels like you’re wearing pants or leggings, and you still get to show off your super cute mini dress!

Did any of you guys get hit with snow this past week? I am soooo sad that we didn’t get any here in Dallas. I have been in full on pouting mode while looking at everyone’s winter wonderland pics. I can’t believe the south got so much of it! I really hope that we don’t get a repeat of last winter (which was absolutely no snow – not even a flurry). Fingers crossed!

My 3 Favorite Organic to Green Products

Organic to Green Favorite Products

There’s just something about a fresh smelling house that relaxes me and puts me in a good mood. I was recently introduced to Organic to Green, a handcrafted natural skin and beauty brand that makes everything from aromatherapy sprays, to coconut oils, to organic bath bombs and candles (just to name a few!). I am excited to share my 3 favorite Organic to Green products with you, which all happen to make great holiday gifts!

Organic to Green Favorite Products

EUCALYPTUS AROMATHERAPY SPRAY

If there was ever a spray that instantly invigorates you and wakes up your senses, it’s the AIR Organic Eucalyptus Spray. The scent is very minty, and it’s the perfect spray to freshen up any space. It also helps with stress and sinus relief, and you can use it on linens, too! It’s made with eucalyptus oil and coconut oil, which means it has lots of natural healing properties.

ECO SOY VERBENA CANDLE

Lighting a candle is the perfect way to create a cozy atmosphere, and somehow it instantly relaxes me. However, not all candles are created equal. Some are too potent and almost sickening, which is why I usually opt for more fresh and clean scents. This Eco Soy Verbena Candle will make your entire home smell lemony fresh. It also has bits of marigold, rose buds, chamomile, and lavender, which makes it look just as beautiful as it smells! If you are giving this candle as a gift, there is also an option for personalization. Add the gift recipient’s name for a thoughtful and unexpected touch.

CHAP GUARD – GREAT BARRIER COCO HERBAL LAVENDER FOR SKIN AND LIP

‘Tis the season for dry skin and chapped lips – my least favorite part about winter! The Chap Guard is a moisturizing balm for skin and lips that truly protects and heals. It works wonders on my chapped lips, dry hands, and cuticles. It’s made with coconut oil, shea butter, and lavender, so of course it smells heavenly. On top of that, it’s an Allure ‘Best of Beauty’ Award Winner, so you know it’s good stuff. This would make a great stocking stuffer for anyone on your list!

Organic to Green Favorite Products

Organic to Green is giving back this holiday season, and we can all be a part of it! For every product purchased, Organic to Green will be donating a matching product to someone fighting cancer through the Susan G. Komen foundation. On top of that, 10% of each purchase is donated to climate change initiatives. I love supporting companies that are focused on positively impacting the world. It’s truly a light in all of the darkness out there! Be sure to use code HOLIDAY20 for 20% off your Organic to Green purchase.

7 Style Staples for Every Wardrobe

Over the years, I have found that there are certain clothing items that I consistently reach for on a daily and/or weekly basis. I used to think it was better to spend less money on basics that I plan to wear over and over because they would just eventually wear out and need to be replaced. I always thought this was a good strategy, but lately I have taken a different approach. I started to ask myself, “If I’m going to wear something over and over, shouldn’t it be the highest quality possible? Wouldn’t I save money in the long run if I invested in higher quality items that I could wear for several years instead of several months?” I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for, and I am learning that it’s worth spending a little more for high quality basics that will look nicer and last longer.

I am excited to be partnering with Misook to bring you my seven style staples that I believe should be in every woman’s closet. Although Misook is probably better known for their bold colors and statement-making patterns, they also really know what they’re doing when it comes to basics. No matter what your personal style is, you’ll be able to seamlessly incorporate these pieces into your current wardrobe. They all have classic cuts and neutral colors that you can mix and match with other items in your closet to complement your own style and personality. Misook was kind enough to pass along a discount to The Polished Posy readers, so if you are planning to grab some of these basics, be sure to use promo code MSK0591 for 25% off your purchase. That is an amazing discount for Misook pieces, so definitely take advantage of it!
