Red Lace Dress

Valentine’s Day is just over two weeks away, which means it’s time to get your date night outfit prepped and ready to go! This red lace pencil dress will absolutely wow your honey (or your gal pals) when you walk through the door. I love that the dress is somewhat modest with a high neckline and longer length, but the lace cutouts give it a little punch of sexiness. The fit is great, but I would suggest sizing up (since you may want to be able to sit down at some point!). I am also obsessed with this red lace dress, which is more of a true red. It is a bit shorter than the dress I have on, but still super classy.

I am always on the look out for a great nude heel, and these London Rebel nude heels are absolutely a wardrobe staple. You just can’t go wrong with these – wear them with a fancy dress or a pair of destroyed denim jeans. The snakeskin print makes these stand out among the thousands of nude heels out there. They are also on super sale (less than $32)! Get them now before your size sells out!
What exciting Valentine’s Day plans do you have? Dinner date with your hubby? Galentine’s Day slumber party with your besties? Garrett and I usually have a pretty low-key Valentine’s Day, and by that I mean we don’t even make an effort to leave the house! This year we will most likely do a casual dinner and a movie. I would love to hear about your fun plans (or lack of plans – nothing wrong with that!). Let me know in the comments below!

Plaid Cozy Cardigan

Garrett and I recently escaped Texas for a bit and headed to Red River, New Mexico for a ski trip with some friends. It was my first time skiing, so it was interesting to say the least! I think I was on the ground more than I was upright, but it was still a lot of fun. And the bumps and bruises are almost gone! We had a great time exploring Red River, Taos, and even some little towns in southern Colorado.

When we were planning our trip, I knew I had to take along this plaid cozy from Wild Blue Denim (Sadie Robertson’s clothing line at Rue 21). This plaid cascading cardigan is so perfect to snuggle up in at the cabin, or even out and about in the snow! The weather was actually really nice while we were there. The temps were pretty mild, so there were times when I didn’t even wear a jacket. My Hunter boots worked fine for walking around in the snow, but I did wear some thick socks for a little extra warmth. I have had this Kate Spade beanie for a couple of years, but never have the chance to wear it! Kate Spade has some newer versions of it, like this bow beanie.

This Vince Camuto bag (last seen here) is one of my favorites. It is no longer available in brown, but I found it here in black (and it’s on major sale!). If you are looking for a great crossbody bag that goes with everything, definitely pick this one up. It looks small, but it actually holds a lot! The quality is amazing, so you will have this bag for years and years.

Valentine’s Day Gifts – BFF Edition

It’s less than a month until Valentine’s Day! I always look forward to celebrating this holiday of love, and it doesn’t have to just be with your significant other. Spread the love and send a sweet little something to your best gal pals – whether it’s your roommate that deserves a fun surprise, your amazing co-worker that literally gets you through the work day, or your mom who is always there when you need her. I have rounded up some of my favorite items that would make the PERFECT Valentine’s Day gifts for the lovely ladies in your life – and they are all under $40 (yay!). Click on each item to shop!

Ivory Cape with Tassels

There is not much I love more than a warm, cozy cape in the winter. This ivory cape from Chicwish is absolute perfection! It is so soft and thick – it literally feels like you’re wrapped up in a blanket. And the cute little tassels are just the icing on the cake! It comes in a beautiful light pink, too, if you’re wanting a hint of color. I love my ivory one so much I am honestly thinking about ordering the pink one too! Chicwish is having a sale right now (through Jan. 18th) – get 20% off with code NEWYEAR20.

Garrett and I are leaving this week to go on a ski trip with some friends. How perfect would this be to take along and cozy up with next to the fire? Talk about major hygge vibes. I am so ready for it!

Let’s talk about my leopard flats for a second. I got my first pair of these a couple of years ago from Target, and I wore them completely out. They were my absolute favorite pair of shoes because they went with everything and worked for every season. I finally had to throw them away last month, and was so excited that Target still carried them! I got a brand new pair and I think I may go back and get a few extra pairs so that I will always have them. I have never loved another pair of shoes this much. They are so comfortable, they don’t rub blisters on my feet, and like I said, they go with literally everything. Do yourself a favor and get these in every color they come in (especially the leopard, black, cognac, and blush). They are only $16.99!

Black Cold Shoulder Jumpsuit

This winter in Texas has been all over the place. One day it’s freezing, the next day it’s 70 and sunny. I was able to go out in this super chic cold shoulder jumpsuit last week when it was warm. I love jumpsuits because they are usually pretty comfortable, yet you can dress them up for a classy night out. This jumpsuit is super affordable (currently on sale) and looks amazing with a great pair of heels, like these black pointed heels from ASOS. I also love these black slingbacks with a cute little bow (on sale for under $70)!

I am obsessed with anything and everything velvet, so when I saw this berry velvet clutch I immediately added it to my cart! It comes with a chain so that you can wear it as a bag, but I think it looks so fabulous as a clutch. This wine color is so on trend right now, and I love the subtle little pop of color it gives to this all over black ensemble.

Even though it felt absolutely perfect outside, I threw on this black trench coat for the inevitable temp drop later in the evening. The fit on this trench is incredible, and it’s probably my favorite coat ever! I just love the classic look of a trench coat. It goes with everything and will honestly never go out of style. This look is great for a winter date night with your love, or even a night out with your girlfriends. Throw on a chic scarf for a little extra warmth, like this burgundy wool ruffle scarf (currently on sale for under $60)!

Pink Bow Sweater & Black Pants

Happy New Year! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season and were able to celebrate with the ones you love. I had a super
relaxing couple of weeks, and was able to get a lot of stuff accomplished around the house (including online shopping, of course!). I found this adorable pink sweater at StyleWe and it was love at first sight. I just love all the little details – from the stripes, to the ruffle detail on the sleeves, to the cutest little bow that brings the perfect amount of sweetness to an otherwise professional outfit. I paired it with these black asymmetrical pants to create the perfect work-ready ensemble, although you could really wear this anywhere and any day of the week. I just love the hemline detail on these pants. It really draws the eye down to show off your heels. The pink and black combo is so classic, and works for every season.

I am so in love with my Ted Baker satchel, and I am really sad that the black is no longer available! I always get so many compliments on it and questions about where to find it. It is available in this gorgeous floral print, and there’s this black Ted Baker satchel that is equally stunning. These pearl stud earrings have been on repeat lately and they are just so perfect to wear to work. I honestly don’t wear a lot of jewelry to work, but these are simple enough to throw on before walking out the door. The easier it is to get out the door in the morning, the better!
