Blush Cold Shoulder Top

One of my favorite trends of the season is the cold shoulder top. I don’t really consider myself a trendy person, but this top by KUT from the Cloth is what I would consider a classic version of this trend. I am a sucker for stripes…and blush pink…and interesting textures. This top hits on all three of those. It’s perfect with just a simple pair of dark skinny jeans, but I can also see it with a cute white denim skirt during the spring.

I just love simple outfits like this – somewhat neutral and oh so comfortable. I have been living in these Mossimo flats lately, and you really can’t beat the $16.99 price tag. Nude flats are most definitely a wardrobe staple, no matter what your style is. I also love these nude flats that tie around the ankle. A bit more expensive, but oh my goodness how precious?!

I am wearing my rose gold Jack Mason watch with this outfit, and I just noticed that it is currently on major sale at 40% off! This is one of my favorite pieces I own (last seen here). It looks and feels so luxurious. I have never owned what I would consider a “nice” watch, mainly because I have never really been a watch person. Ever since I got this one from Jack Mason I have been incorporating it into my daily outfits. If you are looking for a gorgeous, high quality watch for yourself or someone you know, definitely check out their line of watches while they are on sale. Seriously such an amazing deal!

Floral Tapestry Dress

Does anyone else have an extreme case of spring fever? I am already putting away my winter clothes and filling my closet with pastels and floral prints. This Texas weather is so confusing – cold one day and hot the next. Heater and seat warmers on in the morning, AC on in the afternoon. I am constantly struggling to decide on how to dress from day to day!

I love floral prints all year round, but especially in the springtime. I found this stunning floral tapestry dress at Asos, and I am OBSESSED! I absolutely love the color combo – lots of blush pink, some grey, and a few pops of yellow. The silhouette is sexy and classy – fitted in all the right places. I am in love with the bow detail on the neckline, and the one-shoulder look is so in right now. How perfect would this be to wear to a wedding, or even a Mother’s Day tea? I also spotted this floral dress and I’m pretty sure I need this one in my life as well.

These nude sandals are perfect for just about any outfit (and super affordable!). Anytime I wear a bold ensemble, I like to wear understated shoes to balance everything out. With this dress, the star of the show is the bow detail and the unique neckline. I don’t want anything else competing with that! In fact, the only jewelry I wore was a simple bracelet and these Marchesa earrings. The perfect amount of sparkle!
What trends are you most excited about this spring? I want to know what you are loving! If you’re not already, be sure to follow me on Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest so we can share ideas and chat more often!

Save or Splurge – February 2017

Happy Monday! I put together this fun “save or splurge” look for you all to shop. I am planning to do these more often, so be on the look out for more! I absolutely love doing these – it’s just so crazy to see the difference in price for such a similar look. Which item do you think you would splurge on versus save? Do you prefer one look over the other (regardless of the prices)? I would love to hear your thoughts!

Black Ruffle Dress

One of my favorite wardrobe staples is the little black dress (aka: the LBD). I have accumulated quite a few black dresses over the years, but you can never really have enough. It’s just so classic, and can always be dressed up or down. When I am going to an event and don’t know how to dress, I tend to throw on an LBD. You really can’t go wrong with it!

This black dress from StyleWe won me over with its pretty ruffle details and frilly sleeves. It is a little shorter than I usually wear, but still super classy and covers all the necessary parts. I would say it’s the perfect amount of sass and class. I wore this to Catherine Lowe’s party for Lowe Co.’s first birthday, and it was the perfect dress for dancing the night away. It comes in red too, if you are looking for something a bit more vibrant.

So, let’s talk about my lariat necklace for a minute. It is the Laguna Adjustable Necklace by Gorjana, and it is so versatile that I have been wearing it with everything from dresses to t-shirts. You can adjust it to be more of a choker with the pendants hanging down long (like I am wearing it here), or loosen it up for a more open look with shorter pendants. I sometimes even wear it as a choker and tuck the pendants into my shirt. So many options!

Along with my black dress, I picked up this black off the shoulder top from StyleWe. I absolutely love the grommet detail on the shoulder! I paired it with some dark skinny jeans and a black hat for a fun “going out” look that would work for any season.

Pop Sugar Must Have Box – January 2017

I have said it before and I will say it again: the Pop Sugar Must Have Box is by far the BEST subscription box in existence. I have tried many subscription boxes over the years (all different types and different price points) and Pop Sugar is the one I keep going back to because of the amazing products that never disappoint! I always find new brands that I love, and items that I wouldn’t necessarily go out and buy that end up being my new favorite things. If you want to try it out, use code SHOP5 for $5 off your first box!

The January 2017 Pop Sugar Must Have Box included:
Dean & Deluca Peppermint Loose Leaf Tea – If you are a tea drinker and a peppermint lover, you will so enjoy this! I don’t drink a lot of loose leaf tea, but when it smells yummy and comes in a gorgeous tin, I am all for it!

Daily Concepts Your Hair Towel Wrap – I was so excited to get this in my box! I have other hair towels made out of similar material, but none that are actual wraps. This one has a little button so that you can wrap up your hair and secure it. It’s super light weight and dries hair quickly!

Manduka eQua Yoga Mat Towel – Okay, so I will admit that I don’t do yoga (or many other exercises, for that matter) but I am planning to start a workout routine this spring and this mat towel will come in handy!

Goldfaden MD Fresh-A-Peel – I have not used this yet, but I am always down for trying new facial peels. This particular peel has been getting great reviews, so I am excited to have a little spa night for myself and try it out.

Sourcebooks Instant Happy Notes – These are just the cutest! There are 101 sticky notes with sweet messages that you can leave for your family and friends to find. Such a great way to lift someone’s spirits.

May Designs Desk Calendar & Note Cards – I am in love with this little desk calendar. My favorite part is that when you are finished with a month, the calendar card becomes a note card. There is a greeting on the back and perforation so that you can easily tear off the card when you are ready to use it. Such a genius idea!

Glade No 3 Coconut and Beach Woods Candle – This candle smells AMAZING and if it didn’t come in the Glade packaging I would think it was an expensive designer candle. The scent is so perfect for spring!

Thanks to Pop Sugar Must Have for sending me this amazing box of goodies!

Louis Vuitton Speedy from Trendlee

What’s better than a fancy designer bag? A fancy designer bag at a discounted price! Trendlee recently sent me this Louis Vuitton Speedy Damier bag to style and shoot. I was immediately drawn to this bag because I love the classic Louis Vuitton Damier print, and this one just so happens to be sparkly. Can it get any more perfect than that? This particular bag looks brown in photos, but in person you can see that the leather and the sequins are maroon. So unique, and unlike any Louis Vuitton bag I have ever seen.

Trendlee has an AMAZING selection of the best pre-owned designer bags out there (with guaranteed authenticity), so if you’re looking for a little luxury but don’t want to pay full price, you should definitely keep your eye on their site for the piece you’ve been dreaming of. I check out their New Arrivals tab every few days to make sure I don’t miss something amazing! Aside from this Louis Vuitton Speedy, I also have my eye on the Celine Phantom Handbag. I WILL have one in my closet someday!

As if Trendlee’s discounted prices weren’t amazing enough, they are also offering The Polished Posy readers/followers an additional 5% discount with code POLISHED. With spring just around the corner, it is the perfect time to revamp your wardrobe and maybe add a designer bag (or two). I personally think that buying pre-owned is the way to go when it comes to designer bags, especially when they are in brand new condition and are guaranteed authentic. I may never pay full price ever again!

Powder Blue Bow Top

Who else is LOVING the powder blue trend? I saw this top a few weeks ago and knew it had to be mine! What’s not to love? The color…the bow…the pinstripes…and it’s off the shoulder! Seriously perfect. We’ve already been having some spring-like days here in Texas, and this top is a must for a lunch date with the girls or happy hour on the patio. If you want this exact top, you better act fast! I just saw that there are limited quantities left. Better grab it while you can! I also love this blue off the shoulder top and this striped off the shoulder top with the cutest ruffle bow!

I have a big proclamation to make: I have found the holy grail of black leggings and you need them now (last seen here)! These Hue blackout leggings fit so amazing and, unlike some other leggings I have had, they are not see through! They are made so well, and I especially love the seams that go down the front of each leg. I wear them way more than I should, but hey, when you find something you love you might as well wear them ’til they fall apart! I will probably purchase a few extras so that I’ll have them when these kick the bucket.
I have had this leopard clutch for a couple of years, and sadly, it is sold out. BUT I found this equally cute leopard fold over clutch, and if you’re wanting to invest a little more, this Clare V. leopard clutch is nearly identical. A nice leopard print accessory (whether it’s a clutch, a scarf, or a sassy pair of heels) is definitely a wardrobe staple.
