How many times have you went shopping for new clothes and came home empty handed? It can be so frustrating going from store to store, trying on clothes in those horribly lit dressing rooms, and all you want to do is get out of there with something halfway decent. Life gets busy, styles change, and this can cause many women (including myself) to get stuck in a wardrobe rut.
I recently learned about a new style box service called SuitableYou that focuses on helping women build a solid work wardrobe in an easy and affordable way. Prior to this experience, I’d never had a stylist put together an outfit or a wardrobe for me. I never really thought about using a style service because I actually love putting together outfits myself. After trying out SuitableYou, I have come to realize that it is a total game-changer for anyone, whether you consider yourself style savvy or not.
The first step in the process is to take a style survey that helps the SuitableYou Stylist Team understand your style, size, and price point. They will then send you a box with 5 pieces based on your answers, and you can try on the clothes in the comfort of your own home (without the dressing room lighting!). The monthly styling fee is $20, and you only pay for the items you choose to keep. A pricing sheet is included in your box, which details the brand and cost of each item. The more you decide to keep, the more money you will save. You have 4 days to try on the items and check out online. If there is something that doesn’t suit you, a mailer is included with the box so that you can conveniently ship your unwanted items back. Shipping is always free, both ways! If you choose to skip a month, you won’t be charged a styling fee for that month.
My box came with 2 dresses, 1 skirt, 1 top, and 1 necklace. I have to say, they totally nailed it! I was so impressed with how spot on they were with my style, and each piece fit me so perfectly. A stylist note was also included in the box with details about the items and how to wear them. I technically received 3 outfits, but I can actually create 2 more looks by pairing the top and the skirt with some pieces that I already own.
Another thing I love about SuitableYou is that the stylists build on your previous box, so you may get pieces in your next box that coordinate with what you received before. It’s also a great way to shop without the fear of swiping your credit card a few too many times. (I have had some shopping trips that I still regret to this day!)
If you are a girl on the go, and you are in need of work-ready outfits without a lot of fuss, this is most definitely the service for you. The process is actually a lot of fun, and who knows, you may fall in love with something that you wouldn’t have necessarily picked out for yourself.
