Wedding season is in full swing, which means I am constantly on the hunt for the perfect wedding guest dress! Although my dress choices usually reflect the type of wedding I’m attending, I think there are some tried-and-true classic styles that will work for just about any spring wedding. I am styling two of my favorites today, along with my new Links of London Sweetie Charm Bracelet!
The Sweetie Charm Bracelet really is the perfect piece of personalized jewelry. There are lots of little charms to choose from, so you can tell your own personal “sweetie story” while adding to it as you go through life. I am so excited to share the story behind each of the charms I selected, and why each one has such a special meaning to me.
My husband Garrett and I built our house back in 2012, and this cute little charm reminds me of the lovely home we have created. We both work from home, so we end up spending most of our time here. We also have family and friends stay with us occasionally, which makes this place even more special. One of my favorite things about coming home is being greeted by our two sweet pups when we walk through the door. We may not live here forever, but I can’t imagine a more perfect place to build our life together! This charm has a gold heart on the inside, along with the phrase “Home is where the heart is.”
When Garrett and I first started dating (way back in 1999), we had a long distance relationship for the first two years we were together. Back then, it wasn’t as easy to communicate as it is today. There was no such thing as social media or texting. We called each other when we were able to, but this was sometimes a challenge with long distance charges racking up. We chose to write letters back and forth to each other often, and this is one of the things that made me fall in love with him. I remember spending time selecting the perfect stationery to use, and that feeling of butterflies I would get when his letters arrived. These letters were so special to me, and I kept every single one. This charm is a reminder of our love letters and how we fell in love all those years ago. The envelope opens up and has a little heart dangling inside!
As much as we love our home, we honestly live to travel! We are always planning our next getaway (and I may or may not have started a spreadsheet with our travel plans for the next 30 years). We both love experiencing other cultures and getting out of our comfort zone. Travel has helped shape who we are and has aided us in gaining a better view of the world and the people in it. My favorite city in the world is London, so it’s very fitting that this suitcase charm has a Union Jack on it. The suitcase opens up, and the inside is engraved with the phrase “I’ll go where you go.” So romantic!
Speaking of London and weddings… Garrett and I are in London just in time for all the Royal Wedding festivities! We will be watching Prince Harry and Meghan Markle say “I do” while celebrating at Fortnum & Mason’s Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. I’ve got my fascinator ready to go, and the only thing left to do is decide on what dress to wear. I’m leaning towards the peach one with ruffles… what do you think? I can’t wait to create new memories in London, and I may even add another London-themed charm to my Sweetie Charm Bracelet!
