The Moto Jacket You Need For Fall

Faux Suede Moto Jacket

I love the look of a moto jacket during the fall. This faux suede moto jacket is so beautiful and I am obsessed with the butterscotch color! It’s classic, a little on the edgy side, and it’s the absolute perfect piece to dress up an otherwise casual outfit. I like to wear mine open, but it also looks great zipped and buckled. This beauty is 40% off right now, and it also comes in light blue. I really like this pretty rose colored moto jacket as well, which is under $35.

I don’t typically wear a lot of color, but I couldn’t resist this mustard yellow striped tee. Mustard yellow is basically a neutral, right? You just can’t go wrong with a simple 3/4 sleeve tee and a pair of jeggings when it starts to cool down outside. I am all about dressing in layers during this in between weather when it can be chilly in the morning and warm during the afternoon.

This satchel handbag won me over during a trip to Target last month. Sadly, this blush color is no longer available, but it comes in several other colors that are just as pretty. I usually go for smaller bags, but it’s always nice to have a bigger bag for those times you need extra space for snacks, or maybe to stuff a cardigan when you’re heading out to work from a coffee shop all day. Side note: why are coffee shops always freezing?!

What is your absolute favorite kind of jacket to wear during the fall? Are you a moto jacket gal, or do you reach for bombers and blazers? I can’t wait to share two other fab jackets I just got with you guys, so stay tuned for that later this week!

Suede Shirt Dress

Suede Shirtdress

Nothing says fall quite like soft, buttery suede. This lovely pink suede shirt dress is probably the softest piece of clothing I own, and it’s so cozy I could actually live in it. I love everything about it…. the color, the length, the pockets, the belt… it’s just perfect! Suede is so classic, and it gets me in the mood for cooler weather. I can’t wait to wear this dress with some tall cognac boots and a trench coat this fall!

I have been wearing my leopard flats non-stop lately, and I just noticed that they are still available at Target! I got a pair of them several years ago and wore them completely out. I picked up a brand new pair last year, and I may go ahead and get a spare pair for when I inevitably wear these into the ground. They just so happen to be on clearance right now (for less than $12), so go snatch up a pair for yourself. They are seriously SO comfortable and they go with everything!

We FINALLY had a cool day here in Texas. Yay fall! It was actually chilly most of the morning, and it made me just about the happiest girl in the world. You’d better believe I lit my fall candles and bundled up. I probably went a little overboard, but hey, I have new sweaters to break in! I’m pretty sure the pups were just as happy as I was. I let them out and they didn’t want to come back inside! Hope you guys are feeling a bit of fall wherever you’re at.

Dusty Mauve Jeans

Dusty Mauve Jeans

Mauve pink is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors for fall, and I have been adding so many mauve pieces to my wishlist. You may remember this mauve corduroy skirt that I posted about a couple of weeks ago. Ever since I picked that skirt up, my eyes have been drawn to anything and everything in that shade. I found these dusty mauve jeans for under $30, and I thought they would go perfectly with a cute tee or a chunky sweater. I just love the distressed look and the raw hem. They are super comfortable, too!

Stripes are always my go-to pattern (next to florals), and you honestly can’t have enough striped tops in your closet. Each season, I stock up on them in all sorts of different styles. It’s just so classic! This black and white striped top won me over with its elbow-length sleeves. I tied a little side knot for a more fitted look, but it’s equally cute just as it is. I would also wear it tucked into a black pencil skirt, or with some white shorts in the spring. It’s so versatile, AND it’s under $18!

This black fold over clutch has been on repeat lately, and I know it will be getting a lot of use during the fall and winter. It is a steal at only $25, and yes it’s still in stock! The perforation adds a little bit of texture, and I have been getting so many compliments on it! I’ve been eyeing this cream fold over clutch too, and it is currently on sale for 50% off. That makes it under $13… (aka: too good to pass up)!

Can you believe it’s October? I feel like September flew by… anyone else? I just wish it felt more like October so I can start wearing cute sweaters and boots! (who am I kidding, I’ve already been throwing them on when the temp drops to the 80’s). Hope you all have a FABULOUS Monday!

Polished Picks – September 2017

Fall is here (technically)! I am so ready for sweater weather and campfires. Neutrals are always my go-to for every season, and I have so many cute neutral toned pieces on my wishlist right now! I can’t get over these collapsible heel loafers. You can wear them as mules just by folding down the back. Can you say genius?! I’m also slightly (read: majorly) obsessed with the packaging of this Valentino perfume. Honestly, I don’t even care what it smells like because I just want to stare at the bottle. Which of my picks do you want to add to your cart? If your answer is all of them, it’s totally okay. No judgement here!

Perk Up Your Pout with PMD Kiss

PMD Kiss

I have been dying to try the PMD Kiss Lip Plumping System ever since I heard about it, so when PMD reached out to me I was super excited! They sent me the PMD Kiss to try, which is a device that helps prevent signs of aging while also plumping your lips and increasing your natural lip color. I will admit, I wasn’t sure what to expect and was a little bit skeptical. On one hand, I was worried that I wouldn’t notice a change at all. On the other hand, I was nervous that it would make my lips look too big or like I got injections (images of the Kylie Jenner challenge flooded my mind). After doing my research, I found that PMD Kiss is more of an anti-aging tool, smoothing out the lines in your lips and adding fullness over time by stimulating the production of collagen. I used it for the first time last week, and was so happy with the results!

PMD Kiss

The first step in the process is to moisturize your lips with the Smart Lip Plumping Serum included in the kit. Next, use the PMD Kiss on your lips in 6 sections (left, middle, and right on both your top and bottom lips). Simply bring the device to your lips and press the button while PMD Kiss works its magic. Leave it on each section for 10 pulses (you will feel it, but it’s not uncomfortable at all). After one section is complete, move to the next section and start the process over again. It really is super simple to use, and only takes a few minutes.

As you can see, I have fuller lips after using it (more noticeable on the bottom). I found that they were smoother as well, and my lipstick went on like a dream. It actually brought out the natural color of my lips, so I could have just put on some lip balm and been ready for the day. The results lasted a few hours, so I think this would be great to do before an event or a date night. I am excited to continue using it and reaping all the anti-aging benefits!

What do you guys think about lip plumping devices? Have you used PMD Kiss before? I would love to hear your thoughts, and feel free to shoot me any questions you have about it. I am 100% a fan!

The Corduroy Skirt

Corduroy Skirt

I remember back in the 90’s when I had ALL the corduroy. Corduroy pants, dresses, overalls, skirts – my closet was full of it. I haven’t had anything corduroy in quite a while, but I recently came across this under $20 corduroy skirt and my inner teenage self got all nostalgic and had to pick it up. I thought it would be perfect to wear this fall with some ankle booties or even some over-the-knee boots. I was immediately drawn to the color, which is a gorgeous mauve pink. The fabric is so soft and cozy, and it’s getting me in the mood for cooler fall days!

I got these peep toe booties several months ago and now I can’t find them online anywhere. However, I found several similar pairs that are equally cute, like these Lucky Brand booties and these Vince Camuto booties with a higher heel. Black booties are such a fall staple, and you can wear them with so many different looks!

Let’s talk about this ADORABLE bow clutch for a second. It gives me serious Kate Spade vibes, but it’s actually under $20 from Target. I love the classic black and white, which will literally go with everything and works for every season. It comes with a strap so that you can wear it as a crossbody, too.

Dusty Pink Chiffon Dress

Dusty Pink Chiffon Dress

One of my favorite new dresses that will take me seamlessly from summer to fall is this dusty pink chiffon dress by Who What Wear. I am so in love with the high neck line and the pretty ruffle details on the sleeves! This shade of pink has been my go-to this summer, and it pairs so well with tan accessories like this leopard clutch. Sadly, this clutch is several years old and no longer available, but I found this one that’s similar and only $45! When it gets cooler, I will throw this dress on with a denim jacket and some ankle booties. Chiffon isn’t necessarily a fabric I associate with fall, but paired with the right jacket and boots it will most definitely work! Plus, here in Texas it tends to stay warm through October and November. Lightweight fabrics are absolutely necessary on those fall days that feel more like summer!

I tend to wear more jewelry in the fall for some reason, especially bracelets and watches. One of my favorite pieces right now is the gold double wear lock bracelet from HRH Collection. I have been wanting some HRH jewelry for a while now, so I finally went for it! I love that you can wear it as a bracelet or a choker. It’s like getting two pieces of jewelry for the price of one! I can’t wait to stack it with a chunky gold watch. I also got this lariat necklace in silver. I am usually more of a gold girl, but I like to mix it up from time to time!
